2019.12.18 Alta-Bird

After having a bad time in Aspen earlier this year, Amelia makes her big come-back, starting at Alta Utah - one of our favorite mountains. Alta has great beginner terrain in the bottom of the bowl (more on Alta’s special geography/geology coming soon)

In the video below, first scene Amelia shows Mom that it’s marked easiest way down.

2019.12.19 receipt for visit over to Snowbird side. Snowbird’s iconic tram in background. Snowbird is a technically challenging mountain. Combined with Alta, and considering the proximity to SLC international airport, I can’t think of a better destination for skiers who ski for the sake of skiing. If you like Frills, go to Park City and Deer Valley. If you want sharp runs and powder, go to Alta-Bird.

Amelia caught a great sun view.

and some cool shots from the plane

Bloopers

In the videos below, the bird comes close, but doesn’t land to eat. In the meantime, enjoy this close-up view of the unique charm of Alta.
